The Snow Fairies, RIP 1998-2006

October 2006:

The Snow Faires are dead. Long Live the Snow Fairies!

The Faires have recorded their final LP titled "Voilą" which is available only as a 12" record or a free download. They played their last show ever at the Northampton, MA popfest Columbus Day Weekend, 2006.

July 2006: "Live in Sin" is now available for purchase

The Snow Fairies recall a kinder, simpler Philadelphia where concerts were for dancing and the glad was turned all the way up. Originally formed in 1998, this indie pop band has been happily out of place in a rock and roll town, releasing a series of recordings on labels such as Shelflife and Red Square Records. The five-piece combines catchy keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums with clever lyrics to craft short and sweet pop tunes. All songs under three minutes or your money back!

The band recently deemed "Philadelphia's most huggable" consists of Rose Bochansky (vocals), Jayme Guokas (guitar/bass), Melissa Kramer (keyboards), Neal Ramirez (guitar/bass), and Matthew Snyder (drums). The followup album to what the Philadelphia City Paper called one of the top local CDs of 2003 is scheduled for release later this year.
