Melamine

February 2008:

The brothers Melamine release their third album "Mesmerizing Passerby" Here is the lead-off single:
Stochastic Coexistence Fop, OK
and a video
The Clobber Mentality I've Lived Through
The album is available for download for FREE as a .zip file here. The actual CD version of the album is available here and has a lot of extra stuff. I don't want to give away all the surprises, but it will include a decent quality version of the video for "The Clobber Mentality I've Lived Through" so you can actually see all the finer points of detail.

This album will push the brothers past 100 relased songs.

Older info:

Unreleased Track! Well, almost unreleased track. This track: exceedingly pregnant was orginally on a short-run compilation for a summer 2005 festival that the brothers Melamine played at. Presented for your enjoyment! The little piano part from the song is so much fun that we decided to make it a .wav or .aiff file for download. Make it a system sound on your computer! I made it my "new mail" sound. Check it out the .wav here. and the .aiff here.

also, there are only a few of the melamine box sets left. like 3 or so.
this CD is still available as well:

"...and the I's have it" is now available for purchase

Known for their endurance and vibrant live performances, Melamine has been a Weymouth staple since taking on the 2001 Song-A-thon here at A7 Records. Rocking out 54 songs which are available in a box set, George and Harbert experiment vocally and instrumentally atop the warm buzz of Harbert's awe-inspiring 6-string stylings. Their melodic and allegedly "static-y" sound is one that any fan can recognize as archetypal Melamine bliss.

While over the last 3 years the members of Melamine have focused on side-projects, they have played a handful of shows in the Boston area. In the fall of 2004, Melamine regrouped and initiated studio sessions that George describes as "rejuvenating blemished malversation." Hmm. As the songs are dropping like flies, we expect a new release from Melamine in the early spring 2005.

Click here to see the full 2001 chart of songs showing working titles, final titles and other info. This chart is what kept the brothers on target for 54 songs in one year.
